Alpine wellness in the Kneipp facility Anterivo

Alpine wellness in the Kneipp facility Anterivo

Did you ever try a Kneipp treatment? This hydro-therapy by Sebastian Kneipp allows you to enjoy alpine wellness and improve your health. You will walk like a stork through cold water and then warm up your legs. This procedure is repeated several times. Thanks to this proven Kneipp method, you will stimulate your metabolism and enhance the blood circulation. Furthermore, regular Kneipp treatments may prevent varicose veins and can also be very helpful for migraine patients. Your host Priska Zanol will accompany you to the Kneipp facility on Sandegg Hill, which is just a few minutes away from the Hotel Waldheim. Our guests can use this facility free of charge. To offer you even more alpine wellness directly in our Hotel Waldheim, we’ve recently build our own Kneipp Parkour. As a trained Kneipp therapist, Priska Zanol will guide you through this amazing treatment and explain all the health benefits of a Kneipp treatment.

Conscious breathing – become a non-smoker!

Conscious breathing – become a non-smoker!

Another speciality of our region and alpine wellness at its best is the breathing awareness path, which has been created on the occasion of the international non-smoking day in 2012. A cooperation between Dr Antonio Triane (a specialist for pneumology) and the committee for health brought this project into life. On 1.300 metres above sea level, a 661-meter meditation trail with six different theme stations was build, helping many people to quit smoking. Since prohibitions usually don’t work, this theme trail offers many useful insights and experiences, which lead to recognising and consequently changing your own behaviours. On the breathing awareness path, you will breath freely in harmony with Mother Nature. If you wanted to quit smoking since a long time but did not manage by now, this might be your path to success!
