Val di Fiemme – Obereggen

Val di Fiemme - Obereggen

Bordered by the Lagorai Mountains in the south, the Pala Group to the east and the Latemar Massif in the north, the Val di Fiemme offers several ski resorts and slopes for all levels. In the heart of the major Italian cross-country skiing area, athletes can look forward to an extensive network of trails.

Predazzo (4000 inhabitants) is the largest municipality in Val di Fiemme. Just outside the village, a cable car takes you to the Ski Center Latemar, which from the foot of Mount Latemar extends up to Obereggen. Mostly chairlifts and gondolas ensure a comfortable journey to the family-friendly slopes. For a more challenging experience, you may take a detour to the centrally located hillside back of Mount Zanggen.

The most beautiful and splendid building in Val di Fiemme is adorned with ornate decorations and crests: The Palazzo in the city of Cavalese – located on a sunny terrace above the valley floor and overlooking the local mountain, the Alpe Cermis. Cable cars lead up to the beautiful slopes on the edge of the Lagorai Group. The slopes are easy to moderate, only the black downhill slope Olimpia features some steep sections. No problem with good snow conditions – After 1350 altitude meters, towards the valley, the 7.2-km slop comes to a smooth end.
