Spend your jogging holidays in the Dolomites
Mountain running involves running across great altitude differences along the chosen trail and mostly has a mountain peak or another high altitude point as a stopover or goal. The way will lead you along paths, mountain trails and roads – in an alpine environment it is only recommended for sure-footed and very fit joggers. A jogging holiday is a great opportunity to boost up your health! Jogging – especially mountain running – has beneficial effects on the blood circulation and the musculoskeletal system.
Participate in mountain runs during your jogging holidays
In the surrounding regions of Anterivo, you will have the possibility to take part in different marathons and to discover new, exciting routes during you jogging holiday. As an example, in May 2016 the Mountain Run Bronzolo – Aldino takes place. 6.5 kilometres and an altitude difference of 940 m make this trail also suitable for less experienced runners. Since Bronzolo is only 30 km away from Anterivo, this run is the perfect choice if you would like to give mountain running a try.
Tesero is just 20 km away and hosts the Stava Sky Race. The approximately 23 km circular tour starts in the early morning on the Piazzale Scuole Elementari and leads you along the Passo Delle Saline, Monte Agnello and Monte Cornon. This circular trail is extremely challenging! You will overcome around 2,400 m altitude in around five hours. The mountain run Pelenzana in Predazzo – which is around 28 km away from our hotel – is a bit easier and not too long. If you are fit, the 12 km of this tour can be mastered in about three hours. If you take a small detour and spend a little more time, you will be rewarded with a breath-taking view over the Val di Fassa, the Lagorai mountain chain and the Val di Fiemme. This jogging holiday will definitely be a wonderful experience!
